L.E.A.D.E.R. PROGRAM
Age Requirement: Offered to 13-17 years olds
Cost: $100/week
Description: L.E.A.D.E.R. (Lead, Empower, Appreciate, Develop, Educate, Respect) is a summer program that Kidz Camp offers for teens, ages 13-17, who are passionate about working with children. Teens will shadow counselors and learn leadership and teaching skills. LEADERS would act as facilitators under the direct supervision of the Kidz Camp staff. LEADERS will maintain their status based on their assessed weekly performance.
Program Design: This program is specifically designed for individuals who are interested in creating/enhancing their resume, filling service hours for their church or other organization, developing leadership and management skills, or pursuing a career working with children or education in the future.
Requirements: Interested individuals must submit three character references. Reference names and contact information must be emailed to: rhoda_derose@comcast.net. Character references must be over the age of 21 and not a relative. Suggested character references would include: coaches, teachers, pastors, neighbors, or adults that the teen has worked closely with for at least one year. After references are contacted, the Camp Director will contact the individual to discuss the L.E.A.D.E.R. program and opportunity.
